Information: The Center for a Livable Future invites you to a special lecture: ORGANIZING FOR JUSTICE: WORKING FOR A LIVABLE FUTURE Featuring: GARY R. GRANT, Executive Director, Concerned Citizens of Tillery, NC. Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Anna Baetjer Room, W1030. Raised on a family farm in the New Deal community of Tillery, NC, GARY R. GRANT has devoted his life working to redress environmental injustice, improve rural life and the future for African American farmers, and steward the environment. A progressive community activist, he has served as Executive Director of the internationally acclaimed Concerned Citizens of Tillery (CCT) for the past twenty-two years, is the founding president of the national Black Farmers and Agriculturalists Association (BFAA) and the director of the National Land Loss Fund (LLF). In 1996, Grant has appeared on CBS’ 60 Minutes

“Pork Power” which highlighted the environmental damage caused by corporate hog growing facilities.
